Greta the Great™ ''Green''

Greta the Great™ is a children’s toy made from discarded fishing nets and other end-of-life maritime industry plastics (like ropes) from British brand HONU.

Inspired by one of their favourite endangered ocean friends, the sea turtle, Greta the Great™ is waterproof and ideal for bath or water play. The toy was designed with a lightweight, abstract form to encourage children’s imagination. Greta the Great™ was designed in London by Industrial Designer, Tim Rundle, who is best known for minimal lighting, furniture and interior products.

Whether in the bath or at the beach, Greta is a wonderful, sustainable companion for little ones.

All HONU packaging is made using recycled materials, except the HONU sticker which is made from vegetable inks & is fully biodegradable

About the Brand HONU was founded by Claire Matthews when she was on maternity leave with here daughter after hearing that by 2050 there would be more plastic in the ocean than fish. She realised that 2050 is less than 30 years away, and started wondering what the world around us will look like then. Claire wants her children and future grandchildren to have beautiful, healthy oceans they can swim in safely, so, she created GRETA THE GREAT™ - a playful solution to plastic pollution!
